My at-home services

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions a family can make. My aim is a peaceful, compassionate, and dignified experience at home, where your pet feels safest and most relaxed.

Is your pet in a medical emergency?Solace Veterinary Services provides scheduled in-home hospice and euthanasia care and does not offer emergency or urgent-care services. If your pet is having a medical emergency (trouble breathing, seizures, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, or sudden severe pain) do not wait for a reply from me. Go to your nearest 24-hour veterinary hospital immediately. Not sure if it can wait? Call me

In-home euthanasia

I provide gentle, humane euthanasia for dogs and cats in a calm, unhurried environment. Your pet can remain in their favorite place, surrounded by the people who love them, free from the stress of traveling to a veterinary hospital. I take the time to answer your questions, explain every step of the process, and ensure your pet's comfort throughout the appointment.

Quality of life consultations

If you are uncertain whether it is the right time to say goodbye, I offer compassionate quality-of-life assessments. Together, we will discuss your pet's medical condition, comfort, mobility, appetite, and overall well-being to help you make an informed decision that is best for your pet and your family.

You can also begin at the kitchen table: my guided quality of life assessment takes a few minutes, and your answers come straight to me.

Hospice and end-of-life support

For pets with terminal illness or advanced age, I provide guidance focused on comfort and quality of life. I work with families to manage pain, maintain dignity, and support both pets and their loved ones during this important stage of life.

Telehealth consultations

Telehealth consultations are also available, so you can talk with me from wherever you are. A telehealth call is often the easiest first step when you are unsure what your pet needs, or when travel is difficult.

Aftercare

When the time comes, I can arrange respectful aftercare through a trusted crematory partner, including private cremation with your pet's ashes returned to you, communal cremation, or guidance on home burial and your local rules. Memorial keepsakes are available. I go through the options and their fees with you at the time, so nothing needs deciding in advance.

It is my privilege to help.

I help families honor the bond they share with their beloved companions with kindness, respect, and compassion.
